The Unisa Law Clinic recently had the honour of hosting the Executive Dean of the College of Law, Prof Mpfariseni Budeli-Nemakonde, for a meaningful meet-and-greet engagement. The visit provided an important platform for strengthening institutional collaboration, reaffirming the Clinic’s role in advancing access to justice, and reflecting on the strategic priorities for the year ahead.
All staff members of the Unisa Law Clinic were in attendance, demonstrating a shared commitment to professional excellence, clinical legal education and quality legal service delivery to communities. The engagement was further enriched by the presence of the Head of the Unisa Law Clinic, Advocate Kgagudi Morota, whose leadership continues to guide the Clinic’s academic, practical and community-focused initiatives.
The meet-and-greet created a valuable opportunity for open dialogue on the Clinic’s ongoing work, its contribution to student training through experiential learning, and its broader impact within the justice system. Discussions highlighted the importance of collaborative partnerships, innovation in clinical legal education and the maintenance of high standards of professional practice.
The engagement was both insightful and encouraging, reinforcing a collective vision for growth, transformation and impactful service delivery in the year ahead. The Unisa Law Clinic looks forward to the meaningful work that will be undertaken, continued institutional support, and the strengthening of its mandate to provide accessible legal assistance while shaping future legal practitioners.
