Syllabus/Content: This module will be useful to those of you who need to: Explain what culture, policy, the importance of cultural policy is, clarify cultural policy, reflect on the importance of cultural policy and demonstrate the necessity of a strategy in an organisation. Identify some important sources of cultural policy and show how each of them is employed as sources of cultural policy. Outline a series of activities or processes of policymaking and discuss how policy is formulated. Discuss strategies in implementing a policy and reflect on how government officials should implement policy. Discuss the role of cultural policy and link cultural policy to economic development. Redefine what a business plan is, reflect on the value of a business plan, evaluate the limitations of operating without a business plan, analyse functions of the various elements of a business plan and to evaluate criteria used by financial institutions to assess loan applications.
