Purpose: This module forms part of the Advanced Diploma in Agricultural Management. Students credited with this module will be able to make farm decisions and apply appropriate livestock production technologies and recommend good livestock production practices to emerging livestock farmers according to regional climates. The module will be useful to livestock farm managers, agricultural scientists and farmers who are interested in livestock breed selection, production, improvement, management and marketing of live animals and their products. The module aimed at training livestock farm managers to identify appropriate breeds, enterprises and production systems for more efficient livestock production.
