Purpose: The purpose of this module is for students to gain an informed understanding of the primary factors of tourism management, relating to the history of tourism and the demand and supply sides of the industry within an Intra- African and Global context. Students will be introduced to the tourism concept and its historical development. Students will also be able to gather and collate information from a range of different sources to arrive at an informed understanding of demand and supply within tourism management and demonstrate sound practice of key decision making skills.
