| Purpose: The module is aimed at equipping learners with basic insight into stoichiometry, acids and bases, as well as the fundamental concepts of bonding and structure in Organic Chemistry, nature and behaviour of alkanes, and the structure and nomenclature of alkenes, alkynes, alkyl halides and alcohols. Students credited with this module will have an understanding of the basic concepts and applications of general Chemistry which are critical for further studies in Chemistry. | |||
