Purpose: This module introduces first-year students to the fundamental concepts of Criminology. Students will learn how crime is classified and measured, identify various risk factors, including milieu-related causes, that contribute to the development of criminal behaviour, and explore different types of offenders. The module also investigates the motives behind criminal behaviour.
