Dr Sihle Maseko is a social worker, academic, and youth development practitioner. He holds a PhD in Education and has worked in higher education student support, focusing on student wellbeing, academic success, and holistic development. His research interests focus on gender and sexuality, masculinity, inclusivity, and care and support within educational spaces. His work explores how institutions can create more inclusive and supportive environments for diverse students while strengthening cultures of care in higher education.

Dr Maseko is passionate about mentoring young people and developing programmes that empower students to navigate academic life, relationships, and personal growth. His work often integrates research, counselling practice, and creative engagement with students to promote inclusive and supportive learning environments. He is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the College of Graduate Studies at the University of South Africa under the mentorship of Anthony Brown.
