Martha Lyaka is a librarian, researcher, and postdoctoral fellow committed to the preservation of knowledge and the advancement of equitable access to information. She has worked in academic libraries, where she has contributed to strengthening archival systems, research support services, and institutional knowledge practices. Her research focuses on artificial intelligence, knowledge management, indigenous knowledge management systems, research methodologies, decolonised information practices, digitisation and archival practices, information technologies, and knowledge organization. She is equally committed to mentoring emerging scholars and contributing to professional training initiatives that enhance the role of libraries and archives in sustainable development, cultural preservation, and knowledge production.
