Dr. Dilawar Hassan is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at UNISA and an expert in Green Nanotechnology. A Ph.D. graduate with Honors from Tecnológico de Monterrey, he brings over 7 years of teaching experience as visiting faculty and a teaching assistant. His current research focuses on the synthesis of functional metallenes for CO2 reduction (CO2RR), PET up-cycling, and the single-step green synthesis of oxalates for carbon sequestration. Additionally, he specializes in developing sustainable nanomaterials for food packaging and wound healing. As the holder of a granted patent and a pending USPTO patent for sustainable materials, Dr. Hassan is dedicated to engineering eco-friendly solutions for global environmental and energy challenges.
