Thabang Manyike is a PhD (Wits), MA (Wits), BA. Hons (Wits), BA. Degree (Wits) graduate. He is an intellectual, researcher, author, educator, and organiser. His work focuses on Islam particularly in Africa, African radical intellectual history, rethinking political thought and practice in contemporary Africa, intelligence and security studies, promoting reading and writing in the community, and the role of the state and the economy.
Dr Manyike is a founding member of Black Intellectual Praxes, a pan-Africanist intellectual collective and non-profit organisation. He is the editor of the Black Praxes: a critical multidiciplinary journal for African intellectual thought and cultural practice.
