Short biography
Dr Luyanda Mtshali, holds a Doctoral degree in Public Administration from the University of Zululand in KwaZulu-Natal. In 2022, she joined the University of Johannesburg as a Sam Moyo Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Humanities, and the Centre for Sociological Research and Practice. She is a Member of SAAPAM (South African Association of Public Administration and Management) and a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Nation-Building and Policy Studies (JONPS).
Her study area is on land reform, agriculture, small-scale farmers, and food security internationally, and the use of 4IR in Agriculture. She also writes on health matters since her Master's was on skills adequacy in public hospitals. She has published two papers from her master’s thesis and one in progress on push and pull factors of Migration by healthcare workers in South Africa.
