The Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering is delighted to welcome Professor Tebogo Mashifana to the University of South Africa. Prof Mashifana joins us from the University of Johannesburg, bringing with her a wealth of expertise, passion for research, and a proven track record in academic leadership.
Her appointment marks a significant step in the department’s strategic efforts to strengthen research capacity, secure impactful funding, foster national and international collaborations, and advance our academic flagships. Prof Mashifana's contributions to the fields of circular economy, sustainable waste management, environmental engineering, and materials innovation are well-recognised nationally and internationally.
